Jackie is probably one of the most organized people you will ever meet. Although without her notebook, calendars, and post-it notes, she would be lost. She is usually smiling or laughing. She loves to travel, spend time with her family & friends, and is extremely competitive when it comes to playing any card or board games.
In high school Jackie developed a desire to pursue a career in the television and film industry. As a result, she graduated from Seneca College with a diploma in Television Broadcasting. She then went to work in the industry for 2 years. During that time she found Modo Yoga and completely fell in love with the practice of movement and breath. Jackie then began as an Energy Exchange Volunteer at the Markham studio and shortly after working reception one day a week alongside her full time job downtown. After a lot of deliberation she made the decision to leave her job and pursue yoga full time. Becoming a yoga instructor was a natural progression for Jackie to share something she was passionate about with those around her.
Since completing the Modo Yoga Teacher Training in Kerala, India in March 2009, Jackie has found a new appreciation for those around her and herself. Since then she has taken workshops/trainings with Seane Corn, Natasha Rizopoulos, YuMee Chung, Tracey Soghrati and more. Jackie has completed the Modo Yoga Level 2 training twice in 2010 & 2014, the Modo Flow training twice in 2011 & 2017, and Yin Yoga in 2018. She has travelling to many wonderful places in the world either to lead yoga retreats or to take part in them. Since her favourite Modo Yoga Pillar is LIVE TO LEARN, she is committed to continuing her education in yoga as a forever student of the practice and the human body. In Jackie’s mind the possibilities in life are endless.
